Recent Work - Anatomy of Restoration
This body of work begins with portraits of those closest to me, inspired by life's passages: motherhood and childhood, illness and recovery, aging and loss. Through these experiences I have come to see the body as both biological and ecological: a living system of cells, molecules, DNA, and marrow. I envision these inner structures as a kind of landscape, a forest of tissues blossoming into delicate plant forms, where breakdown and regeneration unfold together. Within this transformation lies an unwavering hope for renewal of both cell and soul. Each mark and stitch becomes a meditative act, a woven prayer.
